Terms of Service

By creating an account or using MizpahGuard you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be 18 or older to create an account.

MizpahGuard is a DNS-based filtering service. When you configure your router to use MizpahGuard's DNS servers, DNS queries from your network are evaluated against your rules and category blocklists. Matching domains are sinkheld (blocked); others are forwarded to a public resolver.

MizpahGuard is a best-effort service. We do not guarantee that every harmful domain will be blocked, or that no legitimate domain will ever be blocked incorrectly. DNS filtering is not a complete security solution and should not be relied on as the sole protection for your household.

You agree to use MizpahGuard only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may not:

• Use MizpahGuard to intercept traffic from networks you do not own or administer
• Attempt to bypass, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the service
• Use the service to facilitate illegal activity
• Share your account credentials with people outside your household
• Resell or sublicense access to the service

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account password. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.

MizpahGuard is a paid subscription service, currently $7.00/month. New accounts receive a 30-day free trial with no payment card required to start. If you decide to continue past the trial, you will be asked to add a payment card at that point; if you don't, the trial simply ends and you are never charged.

After you add a card and the trial ends, your subscription renews automatically each month at the then-current price until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Account > Billing — cancellation stops future renewals, and you retain access through the end of the period you already paid for. We do not provide prorated refunds for a partial billing period.

Payment is processed by Stripe; MizpahGuard does not receive or store your full card number (see our Privacy Policy). If a renewal payment fails, we will attempt to notify you and may suspend DNS filtering until payment is resolved.

We aim to keep MizpahGuard available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or emergency changes that temporarily affect availability. If your DNS configuration points exclusively to MizpahGuard servers, a service outage may affect your household's internet access; we recommend configuring a fallback DNS server.

Blocklists are sourced from third-party providers and updated regularly. We apply additional filtering logic (consensus checks, popularity shields) to reduce false positives, but we cannot guarantee accuracy. If you believe a domain is incorrectly categorized, you can:

• Add the domain to your network's always-allow list (immediate, per-network effect)
• Submit a bug report from the dashboard for platform-wide review

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MizpahGuard is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to: missed blocks, false positives, service outages, or data loss. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

You may delete your account at any time from Account Settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, or if we determine your use poses a risk to other users or the service. Upon termination, your data will be deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email of material changes. Continued use of the service after the effective date of an updated version constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
